Shiba Inu Mascot from Dogecoin is once again in the spotlight. Meme-esque cryptocurrency is prominently displayed on Indycar at Devlin Defrancesco in the Indianapolis 500, one of America’s most viewed motorsport events.
The initiative is supported by partnerships involving the Dogecoin Foundation, House of Doge, Rahal Retterman Lanigan Racing, and drivers themselves.

In the weeks leading up to the race, Dogecoin supporters chose the final colouring of the car through community voting, choosing from three Doge-themed designs.
The victory look, known as the Blaze, appears prominently in both the vehicle and the driver’s helmet.
Defrancesco has yet to crack the top 10 in the Indy 500, but his best finish was 13th in 2023, but he remains a fan favorite. According to Crypto-based forecast market Polymet, his odds to win this year are under 1%.
Still, the real traction of the campaign may get back on track.
The fundraising initiative related to Dogecoin’s sponsorship has raised 117,947 Doges (approximately $26,000) for the Riley Children’s Foundation.
The organization supports Riley Children’s Health, one of the top neonatology centers in the United States.
The NFL Pro Bowler Dion Dowkins gained momentum with a donation of 8,000 Doges from a freestanding wallet created over the race weekend.
Donations support intensive care for newborns with complex medical conditions.
Following the race, Defrancesco plans to auction off Dogecoin-themed helmets, with revenue going to Riley Children’s Hospital.
In particular, the driver once spent four months at an incubator at Sunnybrook Hospital in downtown Toronto.
On the other hand, this is not Dogecoin’s first Motorsport sponsorship. The Crypto community previously funded NASCAR vehicles in 2014 and supported another entry in 2021.
Today, its existence on the Indy 500 shows a new effort to combine digital currency fandom with real influence.
Essentially, this dogcoin campaign highlights Crypto’s growing vision in the pro sports of capture.
Last year, Polkadot branding appeared at Conor Daly’s IndyCar, with several major teams in the league employing crypto payments and sponsorships.
