The Dfinity Foundation has held a market-leading choice for Zurich’s international engineers, developers, policymakers, community members, builders and pioneers for the Second World Computer Summit (WCS). This is a daytime event specializing in the future of open internet.
The event focused on several important themes to realize computer vision around the world. These include topics from decentralized calculations, sovereign clouds and data infrastructure, tamper-proof and autonomous infrastructure, the role and needs of AI on the chain, the needs of investment and regulatory environments, and many efforts that will help make your digital landscape safer and more productive. The diverse range of influential speakers spans a variety of companies and institutions sharing similar messages, including Animoca Brands, UNDP, Cisco, Heidrick & Struggle, Eth Zurich, 21 Shares, Boston Consulting Group, and Credit Agricole Italia.
Over 1,000 participants welcomed the keynote speech, panel, fireside and demonstration main stage program as Dominic Williams, founder and chief scientist of the Dfinity Foundation, unveiled a new paradigm of self-written internet.
As Dom provided the world’s first live, live, and on-stage demo of Dfinity’s hot and expected caffeine AI tools, it was clear that this safe, customizable end-to-end app builder could fundamentally change the lives of people with internet access. He also announced the opening of a hot, expected waitlist for Alpha Access. Sign-ups are now accessible through our dedicated microsite join.caffeine.ai. Caffeine is the world’s first self-writing app platform, representing the development of the Dfinity Foundation’s milestones.
Community engagement and developer activation
One of the most notable aspects of WCS25 was the strength and enthusiasm of the ICP builders and holder community, with an entire section of events being staged on the platform, demonstrating and demonstrating the extraordinary capabilities of ICPs to builders of all levels of growth. From early stage developers to established DAPP teams and infrastructure providers, this part of the event highlighted the diversity and momentum of the ICP ecosystem.
The pitch and panels in this section included notable ICP projects such as Kongswap, Liquidium, Piggycell, and Omnity Network.
Throughout the day, the Ecosystem Stage hosted an attractive array of engaging demonstrations, project pitches, use cases and builder tools spanning Defi, Agent AI, RWA and more. The team of Dfinity experts also provided updates and capabilities demonstrations of key project milestones for Oisy Wallet and Chain Fusion Technologies.
New Era of Internet Computer 2.0
As the summit approached its conclusion, the movement of an open, decentralized internet focused on accessibility, data sovereignty and ownership was clearly fuelled by a combination of developer ambitions and AI capabilities. The Dfinity Foundation remains steady in its commitment to moving forward to realizing this vision, pushing the boundaries of what is possible, contributing to breakthroughs and real-world applications development.
Speaking of the demonstration, Dominique Williams said: “We are proud to announce the emergence of Internet Computers 2.0. The network provides a unique cloud computing environment that allows AI to build solos. Today, we continue in beta after about a month that can be made public.
Here we catch up with the recording of the live demonstration. For more information about DFINITY and ICP vision, please see here.
