How to solve today’s wards
We continue to transport trucks in July. But that was good. It rained this weekend. Unlike much of America, we are far from flooding. It is very dry and the forest is like a tinder box waiting for an explosion. Other than that it’s very nice. My eldest son is currently a high school graduate and is free from his duties, but the school is quickly backed up and takes less than two weeks of summer vacation. My youngest will start the 10th grade this semester. How did we all get that old?
Rambling enough! There’s a word to solve!
How to play Wordle
Wordle is a daily word puzzle game, and your goal is to guess hidden 5 letter words in less than 6 times. After each guess, the game gives feedback to help you get closer to the answer:
Green: The letters are in the correct place with the words. Yellow: The letters are in the words, but they are in the wrong place. Gray: Letters are not words at all.
Use these cues to narrow down your guesses. Every day brings new words, and everyone in the world is trying to solve the same puzzle. Also, some warders will play competitive wardles against friends, family, wardlebots, or your humble narrator. Please refer to the competitive wardle rules towards the end of this post.

Choir is usually the term used in second guessing, but it hits today’s starting lineup. This was clearly a mistake. There were 293 words left, and only one yellow, lonely “I.” I changed courses and used Guess #2 using Slate, my favorite opener in Wordle Bot. I tried to tie up speculation #3, but it left me one option: Tzzy for victory! I solved this wardle so I’m all glittering!
Competitive Ward Score

The bot and I each get 0 to guess and connect with each other. Our July total remains neck and neck:
Eric: 8 points
WordLeBot: 9 points
How to play competitive wardle
estimating in 1 is worth three points. It’s worth two points to guess at 2. Speculating at 3 is worth one point. Guessing at 4 is worth 0 points. The 5 estimates is -1 point. The 6 estimates are -2 points, while Wordle’s missing is -3 points. Defeating an opponent will earn 1 point. If you tie it together you will earn 0 points. And if you lose to your opponent, you will get -1 point. Add it to get the score. Keep your running score every day or play with a new score every day. Fridays are 2xp. In other words, double the points. You can also keep running tallies and play every day. enjoy!
Today’s Word Etymology
The word “Tzzy” is a slang term likely originated in the United States in the 1930s, but its exact origin is uncertain. It is thought to be a playful and altered formation that fascinates a sense of agitating and nervous excitement, influenced by words like “burning” and “dizziness.” It first appeared in print. This means an upset or excited state that is often said to be “in a greedy state.”
