Tron Network’s native token, TRX achieved a new all-time high (ATH) monthly transfer volume in May 2025, reflecting adoption and utilities expansion.
The results are based on other milestones in TRX’s market capitalization beyond Cardano (ADA), solidifying its position as the ninth-ranked cryptocurrency.
Tron (TRX) monthly transfers skyrocket with highs
According to Cryptoquant data49.03 billion TRX tokens have been moved in May. This marked a new benchmark for the network in both terms of TRX and their equivalent value.
“At the current price of around $0.247 per TRX, this is equivalent to a total transfer of around US$121.2 billion,” the analyst’s post read.
Analysts also highlighted that TRX 3629.2 billion was moved in April 2025. Therefore, the May total reflects a significant increase of around 34%.
The annual rise was even more pronounced, with volume increasing by around 990%. In May 2024, only 45 billion TRXs were transferred.
This highlights the growing excellence in Tron’s cryptocurrency ecosystem, particularly in the Stablecoin transaction. Beincrypto previously reported that Tron is the most widely used blockchain worldwide.
Tether (USDT) accounts for most transactions on your network. Tron also outperformed Etherum (ETH) as the main USDT transfer network, consistently handling higher daily volumes since mid-2022.
Furthermore, a recent report from Artemis highlights that Tron controls Stablecoin trading volume in several regions, including Latin America, Africa, North America, Europe and Asia.
“The most popular blockchain adopted to solve the flow of customers was Tron as a share of the value sent, followed by Ethereum, Polygon (Ethereum L2) and Binance Smart chain,” the report read.
Meanwhile, growth extends to market performance. Tron overtook Cardano as the ninth largest cryptocurrency. At the time of writing, TRX had a market capitalization of $25.6 billion, kicking out Cardano’s $24.1 billion.
Furthermore, Beincrypto data showed that the TRX price has been highly valued 8.8% over the past month. At the time of pressing, Altcoin was traded for $0.27.
Analyst Lennaert Snyder recently shared his optimistic outlook for TRX on social media platform X.
Snyder’s analysis based on monthly charts identified patterns of rising triangles. He predicts that if TRX breaks out of this pattern, its price could exceed $1.
“It’s not surprising given the basics, with the strong uptrend since 2020. Target, when this breaks out? Moon. Smart Money is flowing where it belongs.”
In particular, the TRX should reach its $1 target, up about 270.3% from its current price.
